Hard-working New York musician Dan Greenwald is the man behind the moniker The Workers. A musical force to be reckoned with beginning in the late '90s, the eclectic band was often compared to The Talking Heads meets Frank Zappa. However, after listening to Dan's latest release TOTEM, some fans have described it more like The Beatles meets Elliot Smith. The e.p. is acoustic based, but also progressive rock and at times a bit psychedelic. Fans of Workers earlier works will be thrilled and those new to them will find TOTEM a great place to start!
What do The Workers have in common with Cold Play and Dream Theatre?
Legendary engineer and producer Will Hensley of WAH Productions helmed the production of Dan Greenwald's TOTEM e.p. and the production is stellar. The textures and layers created by Will and Dan's ensemble of assorted session and remote musicians add a depth to the music that only a seasoned veteran with an extensive musical history could achieve. But don't take our word for it...
